Sofia and Lena Sandoval

Sofia Anna Maria Sandoval, is a 9 year old pure bread chihuahua who loves to be with family. She has spent her life going to work, meeting with clients, laying in the sun going for walks and “mommying” her baby sister Lena. Sofia will greet clients at the door with a quick hello and a tail wagging with the momentum of a Lear jet! Then, she will calmly find her place on the back of the love seat and serenade with her snores.

Lena (Pie) Sandoval, is a 5 year old Chorkillon her mommy was a Papillion and tea cup chihuahua and her daddy was a teacup yorkie. She is a little melting pot! Her papillon ears look like ponytails. She is a sweet girl and likes to connect by sniffing all the scents around her. She will come and greet you to say hello but just when you think she is your friend she will turn the other way and leave you guessing. She is what one would call a true DIVA! Lena lives life on her terms, and we are all just along for the ride. With that said, she is sweet, calm and a delightful presence in the office.

Julie Lynn Ashley, M.S. Thanatology: Provider

Julie Lynn holds a Masters of Science in Thanatology (death, grief, bereavement) and comes to Tandem Wellness with experience in the hospice industry as well as years of experience leading volunteers in various non-profit settings. Julie Lynn was specifically drawn to the bereavement side of hospice work and attended grad school with a desire to support grieving people.

Julie Lynn is a member of ADEC (Association for Death Education and Counseling) for ongoing education in this field, and her speciality is working with clients who have been through a death loss.

Julie Lynn lived in Colorado for many years (is still an Avalanche fan!), and now lives in Texas with her husband of 27 years, Doug, and their two college age sons. She would tell you there have been "God fingerprints" all over the journey into the field of thanatology.

Lisa Trujillo, Marketing & Communications Director

Lisa was born in Denver and moved to a small coal mining  town in Wyoming (she was a coal miner's daughter) and attended 1st through 6th grade before moving back to Colorado in 1984.

While in Wyoming, she competed in basketball, volleyball, track and quickly connected and fell in love with horses.  Her horse Dusty was her therapy and saving grace. Equine therapy happened naturally and Lisa always knew she wanted horses to be a part of her life forever.
